For The Love of Chocoholic - Free Pattern using Layer Cake and Charm Packs

Chocoholic by Maria Kalinowski for Kanvas Studios

Perfect Valentine's Quilt for your Chocolate Lover! <3

This is a fast free pattern made with a layer cake and three charm packs! Finished quilt size is approx. 57" x 68.5" .

   - One Layer Cake in Chocoholic by Maria Kalinowski for Kanvas Studios         [42 assorted 10" squares]
   - Three Solid Charm Packs from the same color.
        [42 solid 10" squares]
   - Binding 3/4 yard
   - Backing 5 yards

1. With your layer cake you are going to cut only one side half way down the middle. Doing so you will now have two 42 piles of 5" x 10". (Keep your piles separate)

2. Then with one charm pack you are going to cut it into 168 -  1  1/2" squares. You will be able to get 4 - 1  1/2" squares per charm.

3. With 42 - 5" x 10" rectangles from step one you are going to snow ball the top corners with your 1  1/2" squares from step two. Next you will use a 5" charm square and snow ball the bottom corner to the left. (This is why we kept those piles separated so you will have a left and right block.)

4. Now you will repeat step three but snow ball the 5" square to the right with the other half of the 5" x 10" rectangles.

 5. With the blocks you made in step three and four, you will now form matching pairs and join them down the middle to form a block like below. (You will have 42 blocks)

6. Join your blocks together. I have them 6 across and 7 down.

7. Time to finish your quilt! Quilt and Bind.
