Whole Circle Stuido and Aurifil Giveaway!

Hello everyone! This month has been crazy!! So many things have been going on and today I would like to share one thing with you.

So if you haven't heard Whole Circle Studios made a LOVELY Aurifil quilt that featured all 270 colors for Aurifil's USA 10th anniversary while also using Robert Kaufman Kona Cottons. The quilt was on display on Aurifil's booth at QuiltCon East in Savannah, GA, and will travel with them to both Spring & Fall Quilt Markets this year. So if you haven't seen this quilt, you need too! If you have a chance to view it in person, I would recommend it. Very beautiful! Go here to check it out on Auribuzz.

Since so many quilters asked for a quilt pattern, Whole Circle Studios created "Sew Many Colors" as a free download. Whole Circle Studios has some amazing quilt patterns as well and wonderful paper piecing patterns! Check them out here and you'll also find the "Sew Many Colors" quilt pattern under the free pattern section.

ALSO there is a giveaway! Now I just entered mine and the deadline is March 31st 2017. Then a voting will being on April 1st. So if you have some time whip this up and enter your mini quilt! The top 3 Minis will be showcased on Aurifil's blog. Winners will receive a fabulous prize package including goodies from Aurifil, Robert Kaufman, The Warm Company and Whole Circle Studio, and will be given the opportunity to showcase their mini in the Aurifil booth at Spring Market. How cool is that.

So here is mine below. I love cool colorways and I had some scraps left over from the Fat Quarter bundle Robert Kaufman made in Winter Palette back in 2014. Background is Charcoal and I choose to have green spools, which I used Kona Chartreuse (this was the closet color I had available for Aurifils Green) since I love 40wt Aurifil Threads. Binding is also Kona Chartreuse. Side secret... this was my first paper piece pattern. I've always been timid with paper piece patterns so it took me a couple of try's before I was happy with my results. =P Another thing is I've been dabbling a little bit in making my own Digital Long Arm Quilting Patterns so I designed to make the Aurifil logo to have quilted all over. This was super fun to make and amazing to see it quilt out. Here are some photos below and I hope you all enjoy!

Here is a photo of the back!

AND some close ups.
